SANG, wetland and wildflower meadow creation
With the implementation of improved Wokingham Highways, we were tasked with the creation of A Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace. The works comprised of transferring previously agricultural land into a site that was sensitive to, and within keeping with the local environment. Not only did the area have to encourage biodiversity, it has to provide local residents with a place for recreation in terms of walking and enjoying the outdoor space.
Works comprised of tree planting, whip planting, earthworks, wetland creation and wildflower seeding. The site was a great success which has left a positive legacy for the local area.
