PGSD maintains over 100 schools in the London Borough of Hounslow and Hertfordshire County Council, each with individually tailored maintenance plans. These reflect the size and budgeting requirements of each site.
We have encouraged the schools to have on-site composting facilities to assist ‘grow your own’ projects. We think that it is important for children to be educated in how and where their food comes from. This encourages them to have care and understanding about the environment in which they live.
All staff working on our schools contracts are subject to an enhanced DBS. We have a keen understanding of working around children and vulnerable adults and the care and compassion needed for doing so. We work closely with a local special needs school and adjust working patterns and hours to accommodate the changing needs of the school.
PGSD ensures the highest standards of presentation to the grassed areas of your school, using the latest technology and innovation to ensure that you receive the best service.
Regular grass cutting is essential in order to maintain a high quality sports pitch. We will work in conjunction with you to develop a maintenance programme for your site. This will be tailored to suit the needs of your school and your budget.
PGSD’s landscape operatives are trained to NVQ2 in fine sports turf / amenity horticulture. This qualification allows effective planning and implementation for your pitches in conjunction with your caretaking team.
We maintain the sports grounds of the University of Westminster based in Chiswick. There is a staff member based permanently at this prestigious site, close by the river Thames.
